North District Hospital which opened in the first quarter of 1998 provides 618 in-patient beds multi-specialty specialist out-patient clinics 112 day places and 24 hour accident and emergency service. Upon full commissioning manpower for the entire hospital is estimated to be around 1700 staff.

Description
Serco Group (HK) Limited is contracted to provide Support Services to North District Hospital. The service is designed to focus on how resources can be allocated to produce the desired quality outcome specifications. Service Level Agreement tracks performances with agreed benchmark. Service improvement and productivity increment is also an integral part of the service.

The contract initiated the utilisation of information technology. Concept SQL a fully-integrated facility management software allows continuous on-line assessment on output performances and accountability in resource allocation.

Currently, we have more than 100 staff working onsite.

• Transportation of documents, materials, medications, patients and specimen
• Cleaning and special cleansing of all hospital areas, including operating theatres, infection control unit, intensive care unit, accident & emergency section, wards, external wall and curtain walls
